Tim Tebow Nearly Predicts BCS Championship Final Score
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – There are many who question whether Tim Tebow will ever play football again. Perhaps he'd be better served predicting it, rather than attempting to play it.
Tebow was a part of ESPN's coverage of Monday night's BCS Championship game between Florida State and Auburn, and made a final score prediction.
"Auburn might be a team of destiny, but tonight, Florida State is deeper from top to bottom," Tebow said, via CBS New York. "(With) Jameis Winston and Telvin Smith's leadership in the fourth quarter, I think they win 35-31."
The game ended with a 34-31 final score, and a Florida State win. Tebow was just a point off nailing the final exactly, and he may have had it totally correct if not for a Florida State Penalty.
After the Seminoles scored to close to within 21-19, they would have likely gone for a two-point conversion to tie the game. Prior to the attempt, FSU was hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and decided to kick the PAT rather than go for two.
