Tiger Woods Says Injuries "Getting Better"
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The PGA Tour descends on Aronimink in Newtown Square this week for the AT&T National event. Tuesday the media heard from a player who WON'T be teeing off come Thursday morning.
This tournament benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation, and as such he addressed reporters to promote it, despite the fact that Woods has bowed out due to continuing knee and achilles injuries.
"Obviously, I'm disappointed I'm not playing. I want to be out there playing. Just not quite ready yet. Everything's progressing," said Woods. "Both the knee and the achilles are getting better."

As for when he'll return, Woods says he won't tee it up again until he is completely healthy.
"Usually I set a timetable, when I want to come back and play. I've had injuries before. This one is different. I'm just going to learn my lesson, what I did at the Players and apply it this time and come back when I am 100 percent," said Woods.
It's been a well-documented struggle on and off the links for Woods the last couple of years, but he says his career is far from over.
"Guys have succeeded for a very long time and that's what I would like to do is play this game for as long as I want to. I feel like my best years are still ahead of me."
As for golfers that will be playing in the tournament, Justin Rose is the AT and T National defending champion.
