Tickets Still Available For Red Ball To Benefit Local Red Cross
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Red Ball is a week away, and tickets are still available for the black tie fundraiser for the local Red Cross.
Dana Herbert is the owner of Desserts by Dana in Bear, Delaware and has just been named the Next Great Baker by The Learning Channel.
Herbert is known for his creative concoctions like Sweet Potato Cheesecake with Blackberries,= or his Southern Lemon Cake with Strawberries, and he will have a booth at the Red Ball.
The event takes place March 5th at the Please Touch Museum and will benefit the Red Cross House, which shelters those in need.
Herbert and his wife just had their first child last week and say it makes this event even more important now. "You know, who knows, that could be us or our child that needs a place or assistance or help, so it is a humbling experience."
