Tickets For Pope Francis' Address At Independence Hall Sell Out In 2 Minutes
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Officials announced that today at noon, thousands of tickets would be available to the public for the event with Pope Francis at Independence Hall later this month.
Officials say within just two minutes, all 10,000 tickets sold out.
"Reservations for all 10,000 tickets were placed within two minutes and the website experienced 394,000 unique pages views during that time."
Tickets were available on a first come, first-serve basis and individuals were limited to four tickets.
According to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, 10,000 tickets for the Festival of Families and 10,000 tickets for the Papal Mass on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be made available online Wednesday, September 9th.
