Three People Sent To Hospital After Being Attacked By Dogs In Pottstown
POTTSTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Three people were attacked by a group of dogs in Montgomery County on Friday.
At approximately 4:11 p.m., officers from the Pottstown Borough Police Department responded to Wilson and Adams Streets for reports of a person bitten by a dog.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered that three people – two females and one male – had been bitten by three mixed breed dogs. The one female victim was familiar with the dogs, while the other two people had tried to intervene.
The two female victims were transported by Goodwill Ambulance to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center for treatment, while the male was transported to Reading Hospital's trauma center.
As of late Friday night, two of the victims remained in the hospital.
The owner of the dogs, a Pottstown resident, is cooperating with police, and the dogs will eventually be euthanized.
