Three-Alarm Fire In Maple Shade Causes Residents To Be Homeless
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A devastating apartment house fire in Maple Shade, New Jersey kept Burlington County investigators busy on Sunday.
Burlington County fire officials say it took nearly two hours to control a stubborn three-alarm fire at the "B" building of the Fox Meadow apartment complex along Clover Path near Route 73.
There's no word on the cause. Two people, both residents, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The fire was reported just after 4:00 a.m. and residents were quickly evacuated.
First fire crews arriving on the scene reported a large amount of fire showing and flames shooting some 50-feet into the air.
The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist those left homeless.
