Macy's Recalls Thousands Of Martha Stewart Frying Pans After Injuries Were Reported

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  If you've recently gifted or been gifted a new set of cookware, you may want to check to make sure it's not being recalled.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says Macy's is recalling two frying pans from the Martha Stewart Stainless Steel Cookware 10 Piece Collection.

The CPSC says it has received seven reports of injuries and is advising people to stop using the set's 8 and 10-inch frying pans right away.

It says the metal discs that cover the pan's rivets can pop off and hit consumers, causing bruises, burns and welts.

The CPSC says the rest of the cookware set isn't affected, but consumers who purchased the sets from Macy's should return the recalled items for a store credit for the full value of the two frying pans.

The recalled products have one of the following date codes inscribed on the bottom of the pans.

Consumer Contact: Macy's toll-free at 888-257-5949 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET Sunday through Saturday or online at www.macys.com and click on "Product Recall" for more information.
