CLEMENTON, N.J. (CBS) -- A man who skipped out on a restaurant bill ordered a dog to attack officers as they were attempting to arrest him, police said.
The incident began on July 17th when police say when 22-year-old Joseph Remar and two others left Teppanyaki Grill and Restaurant in Clementon without paying.
Two of the suspects were taken into custody immediately, but Remar ran to a friend's home on nearby Millbridge Road.
While officers were at the Millbridge Road home talking to a resident, they say Remar was heard opening a door and giving an attack command to a dog.
Remar then ran and was able to escape.
