The Winter Blues

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Seasonal Affective Disorder is a form of depression where people start to react negatively to the absence of light. It classically happens this time of year when the days are short and the sky is dark and dreary.
One of the most effective treatments for seasonal affective disorder is time in front of a bank of bright lights. But for every person with this condition, there are literally hundreds battling the blues that come from February.
There are ways to escape. Some read books, others try to get exercise and the very lucky go on vacation. But keep your chin up…March and spring are around the corner and pitchers and catchers reported to spring training over a week ago.
