The Linc Dishes Up Some Fancy New Foods For Philly Football Fans
By John McDevitt
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Some well-known local chefs are partnering with the Philadelphia Eagles to offer signature dishes to football fans this coming season.
Some of the new menu items that will be for sale at Eagles' home games are "Carnitas Tacos" from chef Jose Garces, with pineapple, jicama salsa, black beans, and shaved radish.
Chef Peter McAndrews brings a mean brisket sandwich, made with horseradish mayo, roasted tomatos, sharp provolone cheese, and fried eggs.
Or how about a sausage cheesesteak on a pretzel roll by chef Mark Vetri to get your taste buds cheering?
"We worked long and hard with a lot of these chefs to create some unique experiences that would work here at Lincoln Financial Field," says the Linc's executive chef, James Hennessey. "I feel that the average fan is really going to enjoy it."
The new menu items range in price from $10 to $14 and will be served throughout the stadium.
