The 38th Annual Best Of Philly Magazine Issue Unveiled At Launch Party
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Magazine unveiled its 38th annual "Best of Philly" issue this week.
The 2011 Best of Philly party celebrated Philadelphia Magazine's annual issue.
"We have lots of changes this year, including flash polls that we did around town. We also did some online polling this year," says Editor Tom McGrath.
Reporter: "What is the most difficult aspect of putting the magazine together?"
"Because this is the 38th year in a row that we've done this, we're always looking for ways to kind of keep it fresh."
And this year, they've brought back the "Worst of Philly".
"We had the worst sports columnist, which was Ed Rendell, who has been writing a sports column for the Philadelphia Daily News," says McGrath.
So what's his favorite category?
"My favorite is the Best Barber. We found a little shop out in Havertown called Luigis."
Reporter: "Reaching out to the suburbs, I see!"
"Well we want to cover the entire region because we really pride ourselves on trying to go out and discover all the great things that the entire region has to offer."
