Terry Bradshaw Thinks Andy Reid Will Bench Michael Vick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Terry Bradshaw knows what it's like to be benched, and he says he was a better quarterback because of it. He thinks the same sort of thing is in Michael Vick's future.
"If I'm a betting man, do I think they sit him? Yes. Yes I do. I think they do sit him," Bradshaw told WFAN radio in New York's Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts
"Sometimes, look, I was benched, put back in, benched. You guys know the history of my career, it wasn't the most glamorous in the world, and I endured. I endured the embarrassment of not performing well and being benched and publicly scrutinized and ridiculed. I grew from it, and got better from it. And I would not be surprised if he sits him. I would not be surprised at all," Bradshaw said.
Reid fired his defensive coordinator Juan Castillo Tuesday, and hinted that there may be more changes. When asked about Vick, Reid said Vick is the starting quarterback "as I sit here today." He used similar words on Monday when asked to describe Castillo's situation.
"You know what, you want to send a message, and it doesn't have to be a permanent message, but remember he did that to Donovan McNabb in the second half of a game, and it all hit, boom it came out, McNabb and Andy Reid. And then he ended up starting him, but he did sit him down," Bradshaw said.

Reid benched then starting quarterback Donovan McNabb during a loss to the Baltimore Ravens in 2009. McNabb returned to start the next game against the Arizona Cardinals, a blowout win for the Eagles. 2009 was the last season that Donovan McNabb spent with the Eagles.
"And the kid they got behind him [Nick Foles] played pretty well. Preseason, but he played pretty well. Maybe, when you look at the turnovers, and you look at how Michael has played, sitting him down. Sitting him down for one game, sitting him down for a relief pitcher. Anything to shake things up," Bradshaw said.
