'Terror Behind The Walls' Returns With Scary New Twist
By Mike Dougherty
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Terror Behind the Walls at Eastern State Penitientary opened the 2013 season Friday night, and there are some very scary new twists this year.
Expect more screams than ever before, because guests who choose to wear neon necklaces can become part of the action.
"Be allowed to be grabbed, pulled into dark corridors, forced to crawl into hidden passageways," says creative director Amy Hollaman.
Hollaman says the goal was to create the best haunted house in the country.
Job well done.
"Someone held a knife to her throat, that was pretty great. I like it, and I haven't peed my pants yet, so we're good!"
"People were popping out at you, and you couldn't really see them because of all the strobe lights and stuff."
"I liked when the girl was getting electrocuted."
The attractions are not much different than previous years, but people who made it through say the neon markers are a game changer.
"I had the necklace which I took off half way through because, no way. I had enough of that."
If you think you can handle Terror Behind the Walls, it will cost you $13 to get in -- and the doors are open on select nights through November 9th.
