PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating a home invasion in which Temple University students were robbed.
The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Page Street in North Philadelphia.
A short time after the home invasion, police took one suspect into custody, but two more remain on the loose.
According to investigators, three suspects wearing hoodies entered the home and ransacked the home. Five students who attend Temple were inside the home at the time of the invasion. The suspects stole several cell phones and cash from the victims before running out of the home.
The suspect who was apprehended was taken into custody at 16th Street and Montgomery Avenue. He was arrested by Temple University police and had to be tasered because he reportedly resisted arrest.
Investigators say the door to the home was unlocked and the robbers simply walked into the house. Authorities believe the suspects may have been going door to door looking for an unlocked door.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Police are continuing their manhunt for the two other suspects. Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
