Temple University Approves 2.8% Tuition Increase

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Tuition will be increasing for Temple University students this Fall.
The university's Board of Trustees voted Thursday to increase tuition by 2.8 percent for the 2013-2014 school year.
In-state students will see a $400 dollar increase to $12,406. Out-of-state students will see a $600 increase to $23,432.
Tuition rates were frozen this past school year.
In addition, the trustees increased the mandatory student fee from its current $590 to $690 per year.
The student fee has been frozen for the last four years. The university says the fee increase is in response to rising demand for student services.
