A double-decker crash in Syracuse, New York has claimed four lives; one of the dead is from the Philadelphia area. The vehicle, called a Megabus, was traveling from Philadelphia to Toronto.
KYW'S Kim Glovas reports Onandaga County Sheriff Kevin Walsh says three of the four victims of the crash have been identified. The first was a local college student:
"Kevin Coffey, 19, of Manhattan, Kansas, He is a Temple University student. He was identified by dental records provided by his family. We were in touch with his family earlier in the day."
The other two victims are a 39-year-old man from India, and the Reverend Benjamin Akerie who was on a speaking engagement here from Malaysia. The fourth victim, a woman, has not been positively identified yet (see previous story).
Walsh says 13 of those injured in the bus accident are from the Philadelphia and only one of those is still hospitalized.
