Teen Murder Spree Suspect Captured In Poconos
TOBYHANNA, Pa. (AP) — A teenager accused of shooting four people during a three-month crime spree in South Carolina, killing one, has been captured in northeastern Pennsylvania.
U.S. Marshal Martin Pane says the 17-year-old was arrested without incident Tuesday morning in Tobyhanna, in the Pocono Mountains.
Authorities in Barnwell County, S.C., say the suspect shot and wounded two people in March, shot and killed another victim in May, and shot and wounded a fourth person in June. He was wanted on charges of murder, attempted murder, armed robbery and weapons offenses.
The suspect is now awaiting extradition to South Carolina. It's not clear if he has an attorney.
