Teen Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car In Kensington
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A teen remains hospitalized after being struck by a car in Philadelphia Monday evening.
The accident happened on Front Street near Tioga Street in the city's Kensington section.
According to police, the driver initially fled the scene to avoid being attacked by witnesses. The driver said he went to a safe place and then called police to report the accident.
The condition of the 16-year-old victim was not immediately known.
There was no immediate word if any charges would be filed against the driver. The incident remains under police investigation.
