Teen Charged In Death Of Roommate At West Philadelphia Mental Health Facility
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police have charged a teen in the strangulation of his roommate at a West Philadelphia mental health facility earlier this week.
The incident happened at about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Belmont Behavioral Health facility in the city's Wynnefield section.
Eighteen-year-old Bryant Sheard has been charged in the death of 23-year-old Anthony Bailey.
Police say Sheard strangled Bailey during an apparent argument at the facility. Bailey was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Sheard has been charged with murder.
The hospital treats various disorders and addictions.
