Technical Institute Added To Amenities At Camden County College
CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - Beginning Friday, Camden County's Technical Institute will be a part of Camden County College.
The Technical Institute of Camden County, which provides career and occupational education to adults at Camden County tech schools, will become part of Camden County College July 1st.
Raymond Yannuzzi is president of Camden County College. He says it's an economic move and a way to provide better services to the county.
"This will make it, we think, easier for students to pursue a degree and it'll give us more opportunity to offer a range of courses at other sites," he said. "It's a consolidation that, I think, makes sense. We are the educational institution primarily for the county.
The main benefit for students, says Yannuzzi, says that some of the tech courses will become college credit courses and those students will be eligible for financial aid.
