Tattoo Arts Convention Gets Ready To Ink Up Philadelphia This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The annual Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention is drawing thousands to the Pennsylvania Convention Center this weekend.
There are artists from around the world at the convention, many of them sought after being checked out on Internet. Sharky is a tattooer from New York City. She says classic designs are in demand because they are timeless.
"Big red roses with big green leaves that's the go-to. I do more of those at a convention than anything," Sharky said.
Haley, who has all sorts of body art, was getting a broken light bulb design added to her arm.
"A bad broken light bulb that stands for bad ideas," Haley said.
The artist is Dick Berdine in from Berlin. He talks about the style of the tattoo.
"A style that I refer to as 'gutter traditional'. I tried to mix American Traditional and Punk Rock sensibilities," Berdine said.
The convention runs through Sunday and costs $22 to get in.
