Tailgate Timing For Lincoln Financial Field
This Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles will play the New York Giants. This will be a huge game with much intensity brewing on and off the field amongst players and fans. Also happening at this week's game, Brian Dawkins number 20 will be retired. This is sure to be an electrifying time with the hype of Brian Dawkins and the New York Giants fueling the crowd. This game is one to go down in the history of Philadelphia sports. Fans and players are gearing up for this exciting game and the stadium will be packed for such a momentous occasion. Here are some tips to avoid the overwhelm of the crowd and parking.
Parking for the tailgate party is $25 per car and for larger vehicles it is $50 and up. This week, parking for tailgating and game attendees will be in parking lots K, J and L. Parking lot K will open at 2 p.m., so tailgaters should arrive around 1:30 p.m. to avoid any long lines or tremendous waiting periods. Parking lots J and L will open up at 3:30 p.m. for VIP guests of the stadium. Guests with sky boxes or VIP seats will be permitted to park in parking lots J and L. There is no tailgating allowed in any lot that is on the north side of Pattison Avenue, parking lots Q through W, and any lot that's close to the Nova Care complex.
The retirement of Brian Dawkins jersey will be taking place at 6 p.m. in the Head House Plaza. This will be an event to remember. The kickoff for the big game is at 8:20 p.m. This is a late game but one that Philadelphia Eagles fans will not want to miss. Tailgate fans should arrive early to enjoy their desired tailgating and then get into the stadium to ensure you don't miss a second of the action.
Once the game begins, Philadelphia's Eagles fans will be cheering on the home team from start to finish. This game is sure to be packed full with fans so game-goers should leave a little early to avoid traffic and long lines forming in the parking lots. After a fun-filled day with tailgating and the Eagles vs. Giants game, the stadium parking lot will be a zoo. During the fourth quarter, when it comes down to the last couple minutes of the game, make a quiet exit to the parking lot. Once there, get in the car and turn on the radio to hear the live coverage of the end of the game on the way home. Staying at the game until the end is fun, but the traffic, waiting and long lines to exit the stadium can be a hassle. Some fans will leave at halftime and listen to the live coverage of the game on their car stereo. Experience the energy of the live game and then go home peacefully.
