Tacony Strip Bar Sued After Patron Dies In I-95 Crash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The estate of a Northeast Philadelphia man is suing a local strip club over his death.
George Thomas Fadgen III was 46 when he was killed in a car crash last September on I-95.
Attorney Michael Barrett says Fadgen had a blood alcohol content of 0.19 percent, way over the legal limit of 0.08, after spending hours -- and withdrawing $100 three separate times from a cash machine -- at Club Risqué on Tacony Street.
Barrett says the law is clear that when you sell alcoholic drinks, "you have the ultimate responsibility. You are the person purveying the alcohol. You cannot continue to purvey it to someone such that you permit them to become inebriated and then leave and cause harm, injury, or damage to themselves or others."
Barrett says the lawsuit seeks unspecified compensatory damages for wrongful death and wage loss.
There was no immediate comment from Club Risqué.
