Sylvester Stallone Defends Chip Kelly: 'Easy To Sit There And Throw Jabs'

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- If the Philadelphia Eagles head coach could get support from any one in the world, who would it be? Who would give the team the best karma?

Rocky.

After the Eagles' atrocious 1-3 start to the 2015 season, everyone under the sun was crushing Chip Kelly. However, Sylvester Stallone---yes, Rocky himself---defended Kelly this week.

"Philadelphia to me has always been kind of like this underdog city and they come off to a slow start, but they build up a head of steam," Stallone told TMZ Sports. "So, I don't think it's time for Chips ahoy yet.

"It's really easy to sit there and sit back in a chair and throw all kinds of jabs at somebody, but until you been in the ring yourself a little bit---[Kelly's] not going in there to lose," Stallone continued. "He's doing his best. Give him time to develop. It's a new time. It's a new era."

First the Pope, now Rocky. While the standings might say otherwise, this must be the Eagles' year.
