King And Queen Of Sweden Scheduled To Visit Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Royalty is coming to our area.
And no, we don't mean Prince Harry.
On Friday, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Silvia of Sweden will be in Philadelphia, where they will be greeted by Mayor Nutter and take a tour of City Hall before visiting the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the Barnes and the American Swedish Historical Museum.
The two will also pay a visit to the Independence Seaport Museum on Saturday for a symposium on "Making it in America," where they're scheduled to be joined by the Speaker of the Parliament of Finland, Eero Olavi Heinaluoma.
The Swedish King and Queen are in the area to commemorate the 375th anniversary since "New Sweden" was founded in what is now Wilmington, Delaware.
