Suspicious Package Found At Hospital In Lehigh County Deemed Non-Threatening
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Officials say the suspicious package found on the first floor of a hospital in Lehigh County has been deemed non-threatening.
According to officials a suspicious package was found on the first floor of the Kasych Family Pavilion at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest campus in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Police say the area above and below the location of the package in the Kasych building was evacuated and closed off while Salisbury police and the Allentown bomb squad investigated.
Around 1:10 p.m. officials reported that the package was deemed non-threatening and an alert was lifted.
Hospital officials say the first floor of the Kasych building will remain closed for processing but all other parts of the building are running normally again.
