Suspects Sought In Theft Of $100K In Cash And Jewelry From Society Hill Home
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for three suspects who were caught on tape stealing $100,000 in cash and jewelry from a home in an upscale Philadelphia neighborhood.
The burglary happened on April 30th inside a home in the 500 block of Spruce Street in the city's Society Hill section.
According to investigators, the three suspects parked a black SUV on the corner of 6th and Cypress Street at about 8:10 a.m.
At about 12:40 p.m., the suspects exited the car and approached a home in the 500 block of Spruce Street.
The suspects forced open a side window and entered the residence. While inside the home, the suspects pried a safe from the floor containing cash and jewelry valued at $100,000.
The suspects placed the safe in the rear of the SUV and fled south on 6th Street towards Pine Street.

The first suspect is described as black male, about 20-years-old, with a medium build, medium complexion and light facial hair. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans, with a black belt and sneakers.
The second suspect is described as black male, about 20-years-old, between 5'8"-5'10", with a medium build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with gray sweatpants and dark sneakers.
The third suspect is described as black male, about 20-years-old, approximately 6'. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark sweatpants with a white stripe on side and a dark baseball cap. Investigators say this suspect carried the safe out of the home.
