PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for suspects in connection with the shooting of a woman and her boyfriend outside their home late Thursday night.
The shooting happened at about 11:30 p.m. outside a home in the 2100 block of N. 66th Avenue in the city's West Oak Lane section.
According to investigators, a couple was returning from getting something to eat and exiting their car when shots rang out.
"They were shot right outside of their house. After being shot, they ran inside of their house and that's where police found them and took them to the hospital," Chief Inspector Scott Small explained.
Small said the female was shot twice in the back and the male was shot once in the leg. Both were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where they are listed in stable condition.
Police are analyzing surveillance video from cameras in the area in hopes that they may have recorded the shooting.
So far, no arrests have been made and a motive was not immediately known.
The double shooting remains under police investigation.
