Suspects Sought In Phoenixville Murder
PHOENIXVILLE, PA (CBS) - Police were looking for three people in connection with a homicide in Phoenixville that occurred early Wednesday morning.
According to police, 26-year-old Selbyn Lopez was found in the 100 block of Prospect Street, between Main and Starr Streets, just after 12:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound to his chest.
An investigation determined the reason for the shooting was a robbery.
Police said that Lopez was "physically assaulted and robbed by three individuals in the area of the shooting. During the robbery, the victim was shot at close range by one of the assailants."
Lopez was taken to Phoenixville Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
