Suspects Sought In Northeast Philadelphia Home Invasion, Store Robbery
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Authorities say a home invasion in Northeast Philadelphia and a subsequent robbery of a nearby convenience store early Friday morning are related.
The frightening ordeal began when four armed suspects invaded a home in the 6500 block of Hegerman Street. The suspects stole cash and assaulted the victim's family.
The suspects then forced the victim into a car at gunpoint and drove him to the Quick Stop Convenience store on Torresdale Avenue, where the victim worked.
The suspects then stole cash from the store's registers before fleeing the scene.
The victim described the suspects as three black males and one white male. The victim was not seriously injured.
So far, no arrests have been made. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the store's cameras.
