Two Suspects Arrested In Lindenwold Attempted Murder
LINDENWOLD, N.J. (CBS)--On Tuesday October 8th, Lindenwold Police responded to Coachman Manor Apartments on 401 Gibbsboro Road for a report of three males shooting a shotgun.
Upon arrival, the officers located a male victim who had been assaulted by the group.
The suspects had fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim stated he was walking home from the Crown Fried Chicken when he was jumped by the three males.
He was allegedly struck several times and a shotgun was pointed at him. He said his mother ran up to help and was also confronted by the males. The male suspect attempted to fire the shotgun several times but it repeatedly misfired.
During a search of the area, two of the suspects were located at 1105 Brand Avenue in Clementon.
One suspect was a 17-year-old male and the other was a 19-year-old male. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident. During a consent search of the apartment the shotgun was located.
The juvenile male was charged with Possession of a Handgun and Aggravated Assault. He was sent to the Juvenile Shelter.
The 19-year-old male was charged with Attempted Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a weapon, Possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, possession of a sawed-off shotgun and possession of a defaced firearm.
He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility on $100,000 full cash bail.
