Suspected Serial Robber Hits Bank in Center City Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating the man responsible for the bank robbery that happened on Saturday morning in Center City Philadelphia.
The incident happened at about 8:55 a.m. at the TD Bank located at 111 S. 11th Street.
Authorities say the suspect entered the bank and verbally demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the bank on foot.
The suspect is described as a white male in his forties, approximately 6' tall, slim build, with salt and pepper hair and goatee. He wore a dark blue zip-front hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Authorities say this man is believed to also be responsible for three other robberies in the city in the last three months:
- January 29th at PNC Bank, located at the 6800 block of Frankford Avenue in Mayfair
- February 4th at Wells Fargo Bank, located at the 6400 block of Frankford Avenue in Mayfair
- February 22nd at TD Bank, located at the 6600 block of Frankford Avenue in Mayfair
This suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
