Suspect Wanted For Multiple Robberies Of Video Game Stores In Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating the suspect responsible in multiple robberies involving two video game stores earlier this week.
Twenty-year-old Maurice Connelly -- from the 5900 block of North 21st Street -- is suspected of robbing a Game Stop store at 5301 Chew Street in Germantown late Sunday morning while armed with a handgun. He made off with cash, merchandise, employee cell phones and the store keys.
Police believe Connelly is also responsible for the robbery of a second Game Stop store at 2900 North Broad Street in Glenwood on Monday morning. According to police, the suspect duct-taped the employees and forced them into the rear of the store before fleeing on foot with cash and video game merchandise.
