Suspect Sought In Stabbing Of Man In Delaware
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware are searching for a suspect who stabbed a man twice during an attempted robbery Sunday evening.
The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Jefferson Street in Wilmington.
According to investigators, a 25-year-old man told them he was approached by a suspect from behind who demanded money.
The victim and suspect got into a physical altercation during which the victim was stabbed once in the torso and shoulder.
The victim was taken to Christiana Hospital where he underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition.
Police say the suspect did not take any property from the victim.
The suspect is described as a black male approximately 6' tall and 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
