Suspect Sought In Robbery Of PNC Bank In Mayfair
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a bank in Northeast Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.
The robbery happened shortly after 10 a.m. at the PNC Bank branch in the 6800 block of Frankford Avenue in the city's Mayfair section.
Investigators say the suspect entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank on foot, and was last seen headed northbound on Frankford Avenue.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's, 5'9" to 5'11" tall, husky build, with long dark hair, a mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a maroon baseball cap, a Phillies jacket and black gloves.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
