Suspect Sought In Armed Robbery Of Man In Cheltenham
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who robbed a victim at gunpoint outside his home earlier this month.
The robbery happened at about 11:00 p.m. on November 13th outside a home near the 2400 block of N. 77th Street.
According to investigators, the incident began when the victim was inside a 7-Eleven store and was approached by the suspect who asked him for a cigarette. The victim gave the suspect a cigarette and left the store.
When the victim arrived at his home, he noticed the same male from the 7-Eleven had followed him and pulled a handgun demanding money. The suspect took the victim's cell phone and cigarettes before running away.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6' tall and 170 lbs. He was wearing a black jacket, a black hoodie with black pants and a white baseball hat and was carrying a gray sweatshirt.
Anyone who might recognize the suspect is urged to call 911 or 215-686-TIPS (8477).
