Suspect Shot By Police In Northeast Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating the circumstances that led up to a suspect being shot by police in Northeast Philadelphia early Friday morning.
The incident happened at about 2 a.m. at Hawthorne and Pratt Streets in the city's Wissinoming neighborhood.
According to investigators, the incident began when police observed a car drop off two gunshot victims at a hospital.
Officers followed the car and eventually confronted the suspects. It was not immediately known what led up to the shooting, but one of the suspects was reportedly shot by police.
Both suspects were taken into police custody.
There were no injuries to officers. The incident remains under police investigation.
