Suspect Holds Gun To Employee's Head During Store Robbery

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for the suspect who was caught on surveillance video holding a gun to an employee's head during a robbery in Girard Estates.

The incident occurred on Thursday, August 29th around 9 p.m. at the Dollar Tree Store on the 2300 block of Oregon Avenue.

Police say a man entered and walked to the rear of the store where he allegedly forced an employee at gunpoint to open a safe.

After taking an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the store.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 25-years-old, slim build, 6'0″, with a goatee. He was wearing a red Phillies baseball cap, gray hooded sweatshirt with a small Nike symbol on the chest, blue jeans with a possible bird pattern on the back pockets.

Police advise if you see this suspect do not approach him, contact 911 immediately.
