PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A suspect being sought in connection with the shooting last month of a young man and two small children in Southwest Philadelphia has been arrested.

Kevin Pickard, 24, of the 400 block of North Redfield Street, is in police custody today.  He is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and other crimes.

On September 18th, police say, Pickard opened fire at 67th Street and Woodland Avenue. Police say he was aiming for 19-year-old Marquis Wesley but also struck two boys, ages two and eight years old.

The two-year-old, DeShawn Brown, was struck in the leg. His older brother Joseph was hit in the ear.

Wesley was shot several times in the back.  All three were treated at nearby hospitals and have been released.
