Suspect Arrested In Cherry Hill For Human Trafficking
CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) – An undercover prostitution detail resulted in an arrest for human trafficking, officials in Camden County say.
On Jan. 15, 2015 at 5:30 p.m., Cherry Hill detectives arrived at a prostitution investigation at a local hotel.
A woman who had advertised on Backpage.com was dropped off by a male identified as 29-year-old Javann J. Hall, of Dorchester, Massachusetts.
After the female solicited an undercover detective, she was arrested, as was the driver.
An investigation then revealed that Hall was allegedly forcing the woman to engage in prostitution several times a day by threatening her with violence.
Hall was charged with first degree human trafficking. He is currently in Camden County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bail.
The woman was released to a social worker for counseling and other social services.
