Survey: Philadelphia International Airport One Of The Happiest In The Country
By Kristen Johanson
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- In this bitter cold, can you think of the happiest place to be? According to a survey by a travel dating service for singles, Philadelphia International Airport, with exercise bikes, rocking chairs and more, might be just the place.
Among the happiest airports, Philadelphia ranks top five.
"You're smiling, I am smiling. So, I guess it's a happy place."
MissTravel.com surveyed more than 50,000 travelers, asking what amenities add to a pleasant time.
"Food. I like the food."
"The wine bar, Vinos... outstanding."
The rankings are based on comfort, convenience, customer service, and cleanliness, but for many people passing through, it's all about the timing:
"It's pretty easy to come in, get through the airport, get our rental car and get out of here."
But for four-year-old Jack, his happy place is not in the journey, but in the destination, "Disney World!"
