Survey: Philadelphia Drivers Staying Relatively Polite On The Road
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – We might boo Santa, but we're pretty courteous when it comes to the roadways.
That's according to a new survey from AutoVantage that lists Philadelphians as the eighth most courteous drivers in the nation.
The report, called the 2014 In The Driver's Seat Road Rage Survey, also IDs Philly drivers as the third mostly likely to have seen drivers cutting into lanes without signaling and says we're tied with several other cities as least likely to acknowledge merging without notice or brake-slamming without warning.
While we failed to crack the top five (Portland drivers were ranked most polite), eighth is still a respectable ranking. Apparently, we do like to wave our arms and shake our fists though – we were among the top three most likely cities to do so.
So, which city's drivers have the most road rage? This year, Houston took the dubious honor of "Least Courteous," followed by Atlanta and Baltimore. Washington D.C. and Boston rounded out the top five.
