The knife stopped barely an inch from her throat.
On Wednesday, Hackett spoke to the media at South Detectives in an attempt to bring her attacker to justice.
"Please don't be afraid to reach out … I don't want to see anybody else sustain these injuries, to have to go through this," Hackett said. "Please don't be afraid to call the cops."
Hackett's attacker is described as a white male who was wearing a white hoodie. He remains on the loose.
While speaking to the media on Wednesday, Hackett urged anyone to contact authorities if they recognize the suspect's unique clothing.
"This video, it's distinctive. His clothing is very distinctive. You would know if someone was wearing what he was in."
Hackett's purse, which was recovered a block away from the crime scene, is also being processed for possible evidence.
A reward of $12,500 is being offered in connection with the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to call the South Detective Division's Special Investigations Unit at 215-686-3013.
