Surveillance Video Released In Violent South Philadelphia Store Robbery
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police have released surveillance footage of a violent store robbery that occurred last week. The suspect remains on the loose.
The incident occurred at about 10:45 a.m. on March 21st at the Good and Plenty mini-mart at Snyder Avenue and South 12th Street in South Philadelphia.
According to investigators, the suspect entered the store and approached the counter. The suspect then walked behind the counter where an employee was standing and began robbing the store.
During the robbery, a struggle occurred between the suspect and the employee. The suspect punched the female employee and slashed her throat with a knife before taking items from her pocket.
While the robbery was going on, a customer walked into the store. The suspect then stopped attacking the employee and approached the customer and demanded her wallet and cell phone.
After taking the customer's wallet and cell phone, the suspect fled the store and was last seen running west on Mckean Street towards Broad Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'7", with light facial hair and a dark complexion. He was wearing a black jacket, royal blue shirt and black sneakers with a white-colored sole.
