UNION TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Superstorm Sandy is now being blamed for 23 deaths in New Jersey.
The latest death involved a Hunterdon County man who apparently suffered head injuries while using a chain saw to trim or cut down trees that were damaged during the storm.
The 44-year-old Union Township man's death was announced Saturday by county Prosecutor Anthony Kearns III. He said the man, whose name was not disclosed, was injured Tuesday and flown to a hospital, where he died the next day.
