The older student actors ended camp by performing scenes from Shakespeare.
One student, Michelle Mullen, says the Young Performers Theatre Camp, run by Philadelphia's Department of Parks and Recreation, kept her quite busy.
"We do movement classes and vocal classes, we also do acting," she told KYW Newsradio today. "It's a really good time, and they teach you and they train you."
Another student, Matt Clark, polished some of his skills.
"I came in thinking my voice was extremely horrible, and the vocal coach and the music director helped me work on my voice. And I think it's improved a lot."
And Jessica Jones says she found her calling.
"I hope to do this the rest of my life, something in theatre -- if not teaching theatre, English writing."
And along the way, they made lifelong friends.
