Successful Night for Phila. Arts Fundraiser 'Feastival'
The much-anticipated culinary fundraiser for the Philadelphia Fringe and Live Arts Festival took place last night.
KYW's Hadas Kuznits reports that "Feastival" was a success and will help fund the arts in Philadelphia.
Richard Vague is president of the Philadelphia Live Arts and Fringe and he says they managed to raise over $250,000 at this event:
"We had over 450 folks here buying tickets to taste the wares of 60 of Philadelphia's finest chefs and see performances from some of our best artists."
He says it's magic when the live arts come together with the performing arts:
"We have a lot of great performances and a lot of people in Philadelphia have not known about them so one of the real purposes of this was to introduce people to performances they'd never seen before and I think we at least partially succeeded."
