Study: Those Who Don't Work 9-5 Shift Are Prone To Health Issues
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – If you don't work the 9-5 shift, there's some bad news.
A new study from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine finds that working odd hours puts you at greater risk for developing health problems.
The research looked at more than 1,500 workers and found nearly half of all shift workers are overweight, have sleep problems and are more likely to develop issues like diabetes.
The study echoes previous research done by scientists and is published in Sleep Health, Journal of the National Sleep Foundation.
