Study: Fewer Students Enrolling In College
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – There's been a lot of debate about the true worth of a college degree.
Now, a new study shows that fewer students are choosing to enroll in college.
The report, which was published by the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center last Thursday, showed a 2.3 percent drop in college enrollment from spring 2012 to spring of 2013.
That's a sharp drop from last year, when the enrollment decline was just .3 percent for spring 2012 from 2011.
According to the data, college enrollment declined across the country for every type of university besides four-year nonprofit universities.
