Students Take Demands For Tighter Gun Laws To Florida's State Capitol Following Deadly School Shooting
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBS) -- A sea of students took their demands for tighter gun laws directly to lawmakers in Florida's state capitol following last week's deadly school shooting.
Students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School led a rally outside Florida's statehouse in Tallahassee on Wednesday to change the state's gun laws.
"We are not trying to take away all of your guns, just the ones being used to kill innocent children almost every year," said student Ashley Santoro.

Inside the capitol, students met with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.
"We've been just going office to office all morning and it's just been frustrating to say the least," said student Ryan Deitsch.
Students reminded lawmakers they will soon be old enough to vote.
"We are coming after you, demanding you take action, demanding you make a change," said student Delany Tarr.
Among the changes students want to see, stricter background checks and raising the age to purchase an assault rifle.
"The next person who dies because of an AR-15 will be on you," said student Sheryl Acquarola.
Dozens Of Students Stage Walkout At New Jersey High School To Raise Gun Violence Awareness
While these students rallied in Tallahassee, others attended the funeral of Stoneman Douglas Athletic Director Chris Hixon, one of the 17 killed in last week's school shooting.
Thousands of other students across Florida walked out of class in a show of support for the Stoneman Douglas survivors and their message.
Other demonstrations are planned for next month.
The "Never Again" movement will march on Washington on March 24.
The movement was created by a Stoneman Douglas student who survived last week's shooting.
